Competitive Workflow

Team Builder

Frontier Hub Team Builder is a competitive team construction workspace for Pokemon Champions. It combines six-slot editing, local species data, import and export flows, and AI-assisted analysis into one page. The public preview explains the workflow in full detail, while Discord-authenticated members unlock the interactive builder, saved teams, publishing, and community sharing.

Six-slot team editor with local Pokemon data, moves, items, abilities, and natures.
Showdown-style import and export so teams can move between workflows quickly.
AI Coach summaries with strengths, weaknesses, role balance, and slot suggestions.
Deterministic fallback analysis when an LLM response is unavailable or rate-limited.

What it does

The builder turns a raw team idea into a reviewable competitive draft. Users can fill each slot, define sets, inspect role coverage, and compare offensive and defensive pressure across the roster. The page is designed for practical prep, not just storage, so every saved team can later feed other Frontier Hub surfaces such as public team pages, social sharing, and battle testing.

How it works

The workflow starts with a selected format and six editable slots. Frontier Hub reads local Pokemon records, usage snapshots, and team structure signals to assemble a deterministic baseline analysis. When AI Coach is available, the same structured inputs are packaged into a competitive prompt that asks for concise recommendations rather than open-ended chat. The result is a summary, notable strengths, exposed weaknesses, teammate candidates, and slot-by-slot improvement ideas that stay anchored to the actual team state.

Who it is for

This page is built for ladder players, tournament prep groups, and creators who need a faster path from draft to tested roster. New players can use it to understand basic role coverage and weakness stacking, while advanced players can use it to pressure-test a nearly finished list before scrims or submissions.

What unlocks after sign-in

Discord-authenticated members can open the interactive builder, save teams to their account, publish public versions, remix past drafts, and attach their work to profile and social surfaces. The public preview remains indexable, but personal storage and editing stay protected behind sign-in.

Why the AI helps

Frontier Hub AI Coach is not a generic chatbot. It receives structured builder state: selected format, team slots, local Pokemon data, and analysis-derived signals about pressure, overlap, speed control, and matchup gaps. Because the inputs are constrained, the output is more useful for competitive iteration than a free-form chat response. If the LLM is unavailable, Frontier Hub still returns deterministic analysis so the page remains functional.

FAQ

Does the public Team Builder page expose private teams?

No. The public page explains the workflow and can be indexed, but saved teams, unpublished drafts, and account-specific editing remain locked behind sign-in.

What does AI Coach analyze inside the builder?

AI Coach reviews the selected format, slot composition, local Pokemon knowledge, and deterministic team signals to produce strengths, weaknesses, and improvement suggestions.

Can the builder still work without the AI model?

Yes. Frontier Hub keeps a deterministic analysis path so users still get useful structure checks and guidance when an LLM response is unavailable.
