FAQ

Common questions about Frontier Hub, Discord-gated access, public teams, and AI-assisted competitive tooling.

What is this project?

Frontier Hub is a standalone competitive Pokémon toolkit. It supports MonDex research, team building, team analysis, damage estimates, meta browsing, and battle testing.

Where does the game data come from?

Pokémon data, usage snapshots, and sprites are downloaded into this project and served from the local Next.js app. The refresh script can re-import data from the upstream public source when we intentionally run it.

How do I save teams?

Use Team Builder to save teams locally in your browser, copy them as Showdown paste, or generate a shareable encoded URL.

Does the battle bot use the real game engine?

No. This version uses a lightweight Monte Carlo evaluator driven by stats, speed, roles, and type matchup heuristics so you can test quickly without a full battle engine.

Can I publish teams online?

Local save, export, and share links work without any account. Public account-based publishing is not connected to the old upstream auth service.
